An Open letter to Mr. Chetan Bhagat.

Mr.Chetan Bhagat,

I read your article in TOI ( Times of India ) dated 26th March 11.Titled 'We don't need no education ?' Where you have given five most probable reasons of drop in school enrollment..
I support and agree with reason number 3rd ad 5h only. But I would like to raise few question about our schooling system and your article as well.
Your enlisted reasons -School infrastructure, Curriculum, Availability of money are out of question in this regard. As all these things were as it is few years back.
I don't know how TOI published it !

Anyways Let's come back to Education. Your entire article revolved around Education and Job's availability. Should we have to frame our system
only to create clerks ( Officers) / so called professionals ? Completion of schooling and getting job is the only motive of our Education ? Or there is anything beyond that called as creativity and culture to sustain and cultivate in upcoming generations ? Why you don't give emphasis on exactly what change we have to bring in ? Please don't bat 'Helicopter shot' in air like our politicians usually do. Give specific program that we have to follow. Above all any school which may or may not have infrastructure/ latest curriculum should be able to produce incorruptible citizens. And with full confidence I can say that on todays date the number of ordinary illiterate persons in this country who are much trustworthy & honest are much more than our clad of educated Indians. We do live peaceful life because of them. So our education must be flexible enough to learn something from them ! That should be our target.

And when ordinary people will see that the educated people can do something different, i.e. really outstanding which can touch there life in positive way.
They will follow that route automatically.Only thing is that we have bring that change. Ones we are become capable of that rest will follow. In history mass revolution have happened whenever people accepted someone/ something that is not their but they to get connected with it. So it's our responsibility to generate that interest in millions of Indians. Who are away from ABCD.of justice and glamor of IIM !
